Engineering Entrance Exams 2011

When it comes to getting admission in a renowned Engineering college, you have to secure a good position in the Engineering Entrance Exams conducted all over India by different Engineering Institutes. If you are planning to sit for Engineering Entrance Exams 2011, you have plenty of options to choose from.

Among all the engineering exams, AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) are the most competitive ones for the students seeking place in a reputed Engineering college. Apart from these, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur are the other popular options. Students who want to secure admission in local or regional engineering colleges can go for State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE).

Eligibility for Engineering Entrance Exams

Generally, students with 10+2 qualification in science from an accredited state/central board can apply for undergraduate courses. For post graduation in ME/MTech program, students need to have BE/BTech degree from any accredited institution.

Engineering Entrance Examination Format

Majority of the Engineering Entrance tests have two papers. The 1st paper of the exam is generally segmented into three sections containing questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The paper contains objective type questions for BE/B.Tech courses.
The 2nd paper tests you on Mathematics, Aptitude and drawing if you are applying for B. Architecture and B. Planning.
The Aptitude Test measures your perceptive power, observation and creative potential.

Engineering Entrance Exam Application Procedure

Application Forms are generally collected either by post or can be downloaded from the official website of the institute. There are some institutes which allow online submission of application forms.
In case of online application, you need to submit computer generated Application Form along with the Demand Draft drawn in favor of that institute.
Correction in any particulars in the Application Form is not allowed. Incomplete Application Forms will be rejected.
